When I got the bike back to my lock up I needed to hose it down before putting it away as the oily gunge covering
it was getting everywhere. As I was hosing it down I could see glimmers of very shiny chrome and loads of it and
by the time I had finished hosing I could see the metal work and engine were in very good nick with high quality chrome on
the cylinder heads, carb tops , forks, gear lever, oil filter cover, water transfer pipe and clutch cover. I spent the next few weeks cleaning out the carbs, petrol tank giving it a good clean and full service including the breaks
and a new battery and new fork seals and plugs then lo and behold it fired up and ticked over lovely , the original
paint work didn't survive as well as the chrome work and I have given it a quick (but respectable) respray which looks fine
and is petrol proof but is not a professional job. The old boy who owned it also kept a meticulous log of every thing he ever did to the bike which also seems to include
an engine change, iv scanned some of the info and it can be seen by clicking maintainance record page
